The Book Thief

I have read the book "The Book Thief". In swedish, "Boktjuven" . It is about a girl who is called Liesel. She is living in Germany in year 1939 when it is World War II. Her little borther died and her mother leaved her. Liesel came to a new family with a new mother and a new father.

Liesel loved to read book, but there was a problem...she could not read. Every night when she had a nightmare about her brothers death she woke up and then she sat with her new father and learned to read. Liesel had just one book to read, but it didn´t take that long time before she had read it many times. She wanted new books but the family could not buy any books to her because they didn´t had so much money. Then Liesel started to steal books, from the libary, neighbors... everywhere.

I think it is a really good book because you were looking on the World War II in a different angel, how the childrens were living in that time, when they didn´t had any money or food to eat. It is a book that I can recommend!
